Roadtrippers - Trip Planner App Reviews

We used this app to plan a 15 state 2,800 mile road trip and felt we got the very most out of our stops! The "discover" function key was phenomenal. We were able to plan a visit to all the major tourist sites as well as a few weirdly off-beat sites. Each travel day we would go to the app and click directions and follow that to our next awesome stop. We were RV camping and found each campground through the app too. Dont go on another road trip without it. We are already planning our next trip!

I havent used the app for a trip yet , but its kinda fun to play with so far. Ill know more about how I feel about the app once I take an actual trip. Stay tuned.

Truly useful app for planning a road trip.

I love how easy it is to use this and I also love the pre planned road trips. You can also have a library of road trips youre working on. I also love that I can use it to find things around me even when Im not road tripping. This is a very well though out app. Good job, guys.

My wife and I planned a cross country road trip. I started to look for an app that could help me plan stops for gas, food and lodging. This was the best I could find. It also allowed me to take notes at each stop. We were on a mission to end the trip by a certain day, so the travel guides were not used. Looking forward to the planning other trips we have over the summer months. Follow up. Have a trip planned to Philly from the Midwest. I know I will use the Ohio and Penn turnpikes. It would be nice to track those expenses like estimated gas expense.

Used this to plan and share a trip from FL to CO. Great tool. Best is you can use the website and the app.

Couldnt have planned my 7k road trip without it. Next- need some trail reviews but I use a different app for that anyways. Cheers

I am planning a family road trip and this app has been the most helpful app I have found. Almost every waypoint I want to add is available, and routes are easily adjusted. I gave it less than five stars because it will at times bog down as I am adding waypoints and eventually some get lost and need to be added again. Also, I have not figured out the logic of where in the list of waypoints that new ones are inserted...this leads to a lot of scrolling to find it and move it to the appropriate place in the sequence.

This app does pretty much what I need it to do: help me plan a route with recommendations for where to stop along the way. We found some really cool stuff on our way through the South. But holy smokes this thing is slow. No matter if Im on fast wifi or data or anything in between, it takes a long time to do anything. Even just loading up the trip I already have saved takes a solid 30 seconds of load time. That doesnt seem like a lot but when you have to wait like that to do literally anything on this app, it adds up and is incredibly frustrating. I havent found an app that does all the things this one does, but if I do and its faster, I will jump ship immediately. For the developers, thats a problem. Please work on the speed issue!

Had a great time using the app. Easy to follow easy to change. Loved the miles and approx gas budget. I will definitely be using again.

Weve discovered some great places by using Roadtrippers! A cross-country trip was our introduction, and since then, weve used it for local and day trips, restaurant suggestions, and finding those quirky spots you dont want to miss. Great app for great adventures!

Ive been using this app for the past couple months planning out a Chicago to Yellowstone road trip. It is very easy to use and very functional. Ive found campsites all along the route to stay at and also have marked all of the stops were going to make at national landmarks and interesting spots, from the biggest buffalo statue to the largest prairie dog colony in the US. I really like the Note feature, it allows me to make detailed entries for each stop along the way. A great app and its free!! I wrote the above review last year but never submitted it. Since then Ive used Roadtrippers to plan trips to Rocky Mountain NP, Pictured Rocks NL, and Banff NP just to name a few. I wont be taking any future road trips without this app.

This app never seizes to amaze in the new design and features that continually roll out. While it wasnt hard before, its now even easier to navigate the app, find my saved trips, and share with my friends. Cant wait to use on my trip this weekend!!

I just found a ton of stuff to do along a route Ive driven dozens of times! Lots of fun, weird, offbeat stuff. Beautiful design.

This app is great when it works. For the past two weeks it crashes while trying to open every time. Uninstalled and reinstalled it and it only works the first time you open it and then continues to crash.

Just got back from a four-day road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles and back. This app helped us see a lot of interesting and fun things along the way. However, the desktop version is much easier to navigate around.
